I love it when people say that vegans are closed-minded.

Well, I love it when they say that because they’re so wrong that it’s funny.

You do realize that most vegans were not raised vegan, right?

The majority of us ate meat every day for years, maybe even decades.

We know your point of view.

We once thought meat was tasty too.

We thought animal products were good for us.

We questioned if our new lifestyle was actually healthy.

We thought we were meant to eat meat, that is was natural.

We know your point of view.

We shared your point of view.

Vegans are the exact opposite of closed-minded.

We were just like you, except we looked past the propaganda companies are spilling out to take your money. We thought for ourselves and questioned the way we were brought up. We used common sense to realize that we weren’t helping ourselves, or the rest of the world with our diet.

If you really think that vegans are closed-minded, you need to think for yourself.

Did you decide to eat animal products by yourself, or were you raised that way? Did you decide to research how animal products are beneficial to humans, or did you simply sit back and let the commercials on your television tell you what’s good for you?

Saying that we’re closed-minded because we decided to question our upbringings and daily propaganda is silly. We’re just as closed-minded as Christians who support gay marriage even though their parents told them it was a sin. We’re as closed-minded as the people who questioned whether or not the Earth was truly flat. We’re as closed-minded as the researchers who believed that evolution existed, and that we weren’t miraculously made by a god.
